Product Description

Cap shim size is available from 2.60mm to 3.65mm (every 0.05mm). Maruha’s F-CAM camshaft line, whose high cam lobe is also suitable for sports driving, adds a new item for Miata NB2, which is the first Miata model for variable valve timing (VVT) to offer cars more power and efficiency.

Our product provides your MIATA with enhanced torque as well as with its stable performance even in idling condition.

VVT allows every engine rpm to produce more power by changing the valve timing (phase) of the intake cam pulley and the exhaust camshaft.
Fuel fluid into the control valve through the engine block flows into the cam pulley via the two oil channels in the top of the camshaft.

Those apparatuses control the oil pressure for better valve timing by varying the timing of both intake and exhaust sides continuously.

The F-CAM for NB2, whose oil passages allow the fuel to be supplied to the camshaft pulley, has the ring trigger on the cam bottom sending signals to the camshaft position sensor in order to detect the cam rotation angles.

Maruha’s high cam, is also available for the Miata with a stock ECU. The oil pressure controlled by ECUs can operate the cam pulley for desired valve timings.

Maruha’s F-CAM features its 10.8mm lift intake, besides the great qualities without any interference to the engine head or to the other devices in your Miata.

During the operation of the camshaft, there are enough clearance between the valves and the pistons. The base circle diameter with 33.0mm length is smaller than the genuine camshaft.

That is the reason to install and operate the F-CAM with no interference. It is fully expected that the F-CAM will provide your car with more torque and with superb performances in idling and acceleration.

For more improvement to your car, we recommend you to use quad throttle system and/ or ECU without air flow meters.

NOTES:

• The product should be installed by a professional.
• Must be used with Maruha solid valve lifter & shim under bucket kit (sold separately).
• Stock shim-over-bucket lifters cannot be used because the F-Cam has a smaller base circle diameter than the stock camshaft.
